Salvete, Amiculi, Just wanted to show the inks for my favorite Amiculus images so far, and to introduce an element, if not a character, that plays a big part in Romulus's story, and his psyche: The Statue. This foreboding sculpture was based in part on the statue of Augustus at the Porta Prima, but the feel of him was based on the Colossus of Barletta, depicting an unknown late Roman emperor. You'll see why I chose it as the model for a menacing figure: Right now, it's probably all a little abstract without color, lettering, etc., but without giving too much away, I have a feeling it will be one of the most intriguing parts of the book.
