Some additional news: I will very shortly be able to include color art along with these announcements. In the meantime, below are five layouts of supporting characters recruited from the ranks of the Amiculi themselves who will be making brief appearances in the first volume. Enjoy! | Salvete, Amiculi! I have just returned from Chicago, where my friend and artist Giancarlo Caracuzzo graciously arranged to meet with me amid his busy jet-setting schedule and deliver several Kickstarter backer rewards and new art! An excellent meeting all around, with big, BIG plans for the future volumes of the Amiculus trilogy set into motion! |

Salvete, Amiculi!
The Amiculus Kickstarter has achieved 100% funding!!! Congratulations for this huge accomplishment! That's not to say that no one can still pledge if they haven't yet: there's still three more days until things are officially over, so all are still welcome! Plus, there's the stretch goal for the next $1000 that's worth checking out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/508003706/amiculus-a-secret-history-volume-i Also, here's a picture of me as a centaur, for no reason whatsoever. I JUST FELT LIKE IT!!! Thanks go out to Stefan Langer for sending it to me. Thanks again, Amiculi! Amiculi, as you can see, there have been some TREMENDOUS developments over the weekend. With four days to go, we are now a mere 17% away from full funding! That's less than $1,600 away from the goal! Do you think we can do it in four days?
As added incentive, Let me reiterate the first stretch goal: If the campaign reaches $1000 above full-funding ($10,350): 1) All levels will be upgraded to the 80-page Kickstarter Edition PDF, and receive the Amiculus Map computer wallpaper; 2) All levels pledging $15 and above will be upgraded to the 80-page Kickstarter edition book; 3) All levels pledging $75 and above will receive an additional hardcover edition 80-page Kickstarter edition book, with a unique cover illustration and case laminate matte finish cover! All books will be signed by the author, of course! Feel free to send me any questions! We're in the home stretch! We can totally do this! Spread the word; you know I will! Amiculi, It is approaching crunch time for the campaign. The goal is totally doable, it's in reach, but now's the time for all the undecideds to jump into the pool. Let's keep pushing! Once we've bumped it up to 67%, I'll share the first stretch goal! Also, here is the long-awaited interview with DJ Grandpa's Crib: My interview begins the segment, and lasts ten minutes. Please share!
It's getting close to crunch time, Amiculi. The campaign is entering its last two weeks, and we're running out of wiggle room. Forty-three percent of funding still needs to be discovered, and you know I'm doing everything I can to find it. I say again, if you like the project you've seen, and are considering backing, I encourage you to come out sooner than later, and bring friends! Be the leading edge of a new backer tide! Some announcements:
Plus, I have a new event I will be inviting all of you to on Facebook: In honor of the last 10 days of the campaign! Even if you've already come out, there are more ways than one to participate! All participants will receive a free PDF of the Amiculus Preview book!
Thanks for all of your help during this past crazy month! Savlete! WE DID IT!!! Fifty Percent reached, less than 24 hours after I posted! Big thanks go out to Jared Gardner, who put us past this important milestone! Also, the interview with DJ Grandpa's Crib is done, and it was a blast! It drops on Monday: check it out!
Salvete! With about three weeks to go , we are roughly on-track with our goal. The magic 50th percentile draws very near; getting over this hump dramatically increases Amiculus's chances of success! Who wants to be the one who puts us over? Come on out and be the hero of the halfway mark! Now, onto next week: I will be recording an interview for the Amiculus Kickstarter with DJ Grandpa's Crib this weekend, a podcast based out of Washington, DC by an interviewer who has produced shows and 'casts for NPR and Slate. He's a champion of crowdfunders with heart, and I look forward to speaking with him! You can look for it on his site on Monday.
In the meantime, keep spreading the word, and if you're still on the fences, take the plunge and pledge to this fantastic project!
